About The Position
The Clinical Scanner & Patient Roomer records correspondence in patients’ electronic medical records and rooms patients in preparation for medical visits, while providing an excellent patient experience. The role is based at Franciscan Point Crown Point in Crown Point, Indiana. The schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with 8-hour shifts. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- One year of medical experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential through a state licensing board.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and take vital signs.
- Document and record information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Scan correspondence, laboratory reports, and X-ray reports into the correct patient record.
- Enter patient information into the EMR system.
- Prepare and process documents according to procedures.
