About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care within an assigned medical unit and coordinates care planning with other disciplines. The role is full-time, 72 hours per pay period, on the night shift at LeConte Medical Center, a 79-bed community hospital within Covenant Health.

Requirements

• New graduate within the first year of orientation.
• Valid Tennessee license.
• CPR required.
• Education must be sufficient to meet the standards for the required license and/or certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing history and initiate patient education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Implement a plan of care appropriate to the diagnosis.
• Problem solve and coordinate unit and patient care assignments, with supervision.
• Introduce new employees and students to unit routines.
• Participate on a unit-based committee or serve as a council representative.
• Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Complete required annual education assignments.
• Work toward achieving goals and objectives, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
