About The Position

Clinical practice focused on care of adults, experiencing acute and chronic illnesses with stable or predictable outcomes, throughout the care continuum and across settings (simulation and health care). Number of students per group can vary from 6 to 8. Experience developing learning contracts. Demonstrated conflict resolution, oral/written communication skills.

Requirements

  • B.Sc.N. with recent experience in medical/surgical nursing.
  • Current registration as RN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Certain clinical partners require work experience on their units in order to work as a Clinical instructor.
  • As a condition of employment at UOttawa, the chosen candidate must be in good standing with the site where clinical teaching is to occur.
  • Previous experience as a clinical instructor preferred.
