About The Position

This position involves nursing practice in complex care situations with individuals, groups, and/or communities. The role includes the nursing management of complex health, family, community or social issues in community, primary or tertiary care settings. This is a part-time professor position for the Fall 2026 semester.

Requirements

  • B.Sc.N. with recent clinical experience in complex nursing care.
  • Current registration as RN or NP in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Applicant cannot be teaching the same course during the same semester as they are coordinating.
  • Must be in good standing with the site where clinical teaching is to occur.
  • Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a clinical instructor preferred.
  • Certain clinical partners require work experience on their units in order to work as a Clinical Instructor.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical practicum for Complex Nursing Care (NSG4430).
  • Manage complex health, family, community or social issues in various care settings.
  • Provide nursing practice in complex care situations with individuals, groups, and/or communities.
