About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Clinical Intake Coordinator for its new inpatient extended care rehabilitation facility in Norfolk, Virginia. The role coordinates admissions with the call center and facility staff, helps arrange scheduling and transportation, and supports the completion of referrals and authorizations before admission. The coordinator also works with the Case Manager on special insurance needs and aftercare planning, builds rapport with prospective clients, and communicates information about the program and its services. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the admissions call center team and facility staff to facilitate smooth and timely admissions.
- Arrange scheduling, transportation, and other details needed for efficient transitions into treatment.
- Collaborate with the Utilization Review team to secure referrals and authorizations before admission.
- Work with the Case Manager on special insurance needs, including FMLA and COBRA, and on creating an aftercare plan.
- Build warm, trusting rapport with clients to encourage confidence in and commitment to treatment.
- Communicate program features, services, and requested information to people interested in treatment.
