Intake Coordinator
About The Position
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is hiring an Intake Coordinator to coordinate patient referrals and support referral sources. The role collaborates with branch and sales teams to coordinate patients’ transition to services and applies knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines and governing processes. The position requires healthcare and home health or pediatrics experience, customer service experience, knowledge of Medicare guidelines governing home health or hospice, and basic technology skills, including use of a mobile device. A nursing graduate with an applicable state license and experience with intake responsibilities or a multi-location company is preferred. The job also requires a valid state driver license, automobile liability insurance as required by law, dependable transportation, and the ability to drive safely in all weather conditions; driving requirements do not apply to Oregon employees unless they have a clinical license.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in the healthcare industry and one year of experience in home health or pediatrics.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare guidelines governing home health or hospice.
- Basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
- Valid state driver license.
- Maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
- Maintain dependable transportation in good working condition.
- Ability to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions. For employees located in Oregon, driving requirements are not applicable unless the employee has a clinical license.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and licensed in the state where currently practicing; may be a registered nurse or licensed professional/vocational nurse.
- Experience with intake responsibilities and working with a multi-location company.
