About The Position

The Clinical Field Specialist (CFS) role is responsible for providing clinical insight and educational support/training on the technical applications of company products within a designated territory spanning multiple markets, including Akron, Pittsburgh, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. This role involves technical training in clinical and/or surgical environments, with a primary focus on driving revenue growth and market expansion through direct engagement with individual Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, Obstetricians/Gynecologists (OB/GYNs), and Genetic Counselors. The CFS will build and maintain strong relationships, develop and execute strategic business plans to accelerate revenue growth, and support both established and newly launched products. The position requires regular interaction with Protected Health Information (PHI) and necessitates completion of HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of hire, as well as maintaining current Natera training requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Science, Nursing, or a related healthcare discipline
  • Minimum of three years of physician sales experience in the diagnostic laboratory industry, ideally within genetics
  • Strong background in medical or biological sciences, with experience in clinical diagnostics a plus
  • Deep understanding of the OB/GYN and MFM markets, with proven success selling into these specialties
  • Demonstrated success launching new products and driving rapid revenue growth in new markets
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Gmail, and Salesforce.com
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with proven ability to present effectively to diverse audiences
  • Strong time management skills with proven ability to assess and prioritize opportunities effectively
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and results-driven, with strong interpersonal and analytical skills and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically
  • Demonstrates urgency and a strong focus on closing business
  • Assesses the needs of medical professionals through consultative sales, logistical coordination, and problem-solving
  • Works both independently and collaboratively with a strong drive for success
  • Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Increasing revenue and driving market development through direct sales to individual MFMs, Ob/Gyns and Genetic Counselors.
  • Creating and implementing a strategic business plan to grow revenue quickly in your geography.
  • Sales efforts will focus on currently marketed products and new product launches.
  • Will play a critical role in the success of the organization.
  • Works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job.
