About The Position

VCA East Anchorage Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, professional, dependable, and enthusiastic Client Service Representative for its busy, seven-doctor veterinary practice. This part-time position suits someone who enjoys working with people and pets, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service. Morning availability is needed, along with the ability to work one to two Saturdays per month. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Client Service Representative is the face of the practice and helps build and maintain client trust and confidence. The role supports the hospital's operations and contributes to positive experiences for pets and their families. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered to eligible employees.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Greet visitors, answer telephones, and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms.
Schedule and confirm appointments.
Make outbound follow-up calls and contact prospective clients.
Present and explain fees and process payments.
Recommend, select, and obtain products and services, including prescriptions.
Answer questions about products and services and educate clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care, such as heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea and tick control.
Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
Maintain the hospital, including removing animal waste, and ensure the facility is neat and clean inside and outside.
