About The Position

California Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Client Service Associate (Teller) to provide customer service at its El Cajon, California branch. Associates work in a relationship-centered, collaborative culture that supports building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. The bank serves communities, families, and businesses throughout California.

The role processes debit and credit transactions accurately and in accordance with established policies and procedures, while maintaining an acceptable balancing record. It also provides a range of client services, helps resolve client problems, and identifies opportunities to recommend bank products based on client needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The position offers an hourly base salary of $21–$25, depending on job-related factors such as experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience, or successful completion of company-approved training.
• Proficient knowledge of cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
• Working knowledge of math.
• Solid balancing and customer service skills.
• Ability to cross-sell bank products based on clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures, maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
• Provide client services that may include opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, transferring money, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
• Resolve client problems through direct action or referral to alternative branch or bank resources.
• Explore clients’ needs to identify and maximize opportunities to cross-sell bank products.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
