Car Wash Associate - El Cajon
About The Position
As a Car Wash Associate, you prepare, guide, and load vehicles into the wash tunnel; keep the location supplied with clean towels; and ensure equipment is functioning properly while providing an excellent customer experience. The role calls for anticipating customer needs, building relationships, prioritizing safety, multitasking, and adapting to a dynamic environment. It is an outdoor-focused position, with most working time spent outside, and may offer a starting point for developing leadership skills and advancing into management. The position involves servicing vehicles with bug spray and guiding them into the tunnel, maintaining location cleanliness, assisting customers, and handling vehicles with care. Work takes place primarily outdoors, with exposure to varying weather and moderate-to-high noise, and includes prolonged standing and walking, manual tasks, equipment operation, and maintaining stamina throughout a shift.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to various weather conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform the responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Service vehicles with bug spray while guiding them into the wash tunnel.
- Complete location-cleanliness tasks, including sweeping, replenishing, mopping, cleaning, and minor landscaping as directed by leadership.
- Assist customers with requests to enhance their experience.
- Exceed customer expectations by being friendly and handling vehicles with extreme care.
- Help ensure the location is equipped with clean towels and that equipment is functioning properly.
- Anticipate customer needs, build lasting relationships, and maintain a strong focus on safety.
