About The Position

As a Clerical Assistant 3 for the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review, you will play a key part in organizing appeal files and supporting Board operations. You will help staff, claimants, and employers by answering questions and guiding information requests. Requirements

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Handle draft decisions, reconsideration requests, and appeals returned from the court
  • Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and provide information after checking entitlement
  • Check appeal case files for required documents, exhibits, transcripts, and accuracy
  • Prepare correspondence, gather requested materials, and send information through mail or electronic methods
  • Log case actions, route correspondence, upload files, and maintain case materials
  • Assist in preparing agendas, distributing decisions, and communicating with Board members
