Requirements

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • Must understand how to efficiently use and navigate a personal computer.
  • Must have two (2) years or more of experience with the Microsoft systems (Word/Excel/Outlook, etc.) and other software packages to create and maintain spreadsheets/ calendars/documents/rosters etc.
  • Must have the ability to work with various office equipment such as: scanner, printer, fax machine, computer, tablet, telephone, personal communication devices etc.
  • Must have previous experience working in an office setting as a clerk and/or personal assistant.
  • Must have two (2) years or more of experience with electronic communication tools/skills, such as video conferencing, and creating meetings in Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Must have experience combining and manipulating documents in Adobe Pro.
  • Must have proficient keyboarding skills
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls, direct inquiries, manage messages, and handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Type documents, review materials for accuracy, and complete timely distribution
  • Maintain attendance and overtime records and assist other departments as needed
  • Organize meetings, schedule appointments, and record minutes when required
  • Maintain filing systems, update databases, and ensure accurate archiving
