Requirements

• Graduation from an approved school of dentistry. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
• Possess a license to practice dentistry issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic dental services to support the health and comfort of inmates
• Work with support staff to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care
• Coordinate with auxiliary staff and management to maintain smooth clinic operations
• Review patient needs and determine appropriate dental treatments
• Support departmental goals by contributing to quality assurance and clinical initiatives
