This position supports the work of Income Maintenance Caseworkers by handling important clerical and office tasks that keep operations running smoothly. The role helps ensure that services and programs are delivered accurately and on time for clients in need.

Requirements

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; o r An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
  • Must pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete file clearances, resolve discrepancies, scan documents, import applications, and update records
  • Receive, sort, scan, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Greet visitors, provide general information, record check-ins, and collect verification materials
  • Enter updates, issue benefits, prepare forms and letters, and process emergency payments
  • Transfer cases, track reporting requirements, and assist with storage and record maintenance
  • Answer calls, handle inquiries, and direct messages appropriately
