About The Position

The Cleaner EVS Spec cleans and maintains all public areas to reflect Harrah’s Resort Southern California’s high standard of excellence. The role includes maintaining assigned areas, assisting guests with information and directions, and completing tasks assigned by a supervisor. It requires following trained cleaning procedures, including procedures for blood-borne pathogens, and complying with attendance guidelines and departmental and company policies.

The position pays $20.00 per hour. Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Must be able to manage several tasks during a shift.
• Must be able to tolerate secondary smoke.
• Must be able to work in temperatures above 115 degrees and in cold temperatures as low as 40 degrees.
• Must be able to work around crowded indoor and outdoor areas.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, and pull around casino and restroom areas.
• Must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction.

Nice To Haves

• Prior custodial or housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas.
• Provide information and directions to guests who inquire.
• Complete tasks assigned by a supervisor.
• Clean and sweep paper and debris from floors.
• Clean and maintain slot machines and stands.
• Clean walls, stalls, shelving, telephones, brass rails, doors, glass, mirrors, and other surfaces requiring attention.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Clean and refresh ashtrays and ash urns.
• Restock paper products and chemicals in the work area as needed.
• Follow proper trained cleaning procedures when blood-borne pathogens are involved.
• Vacuum and remove trash.
• Remove or transport items from one area to another as assigned.
• Mop floors.
• Operate vacuum cleaners and floor-cleaning equipment such as mops and brooms.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
