About The Position

The EVS Cleaner is responsible for cleaning casino, hotel, office, restaurant, and common areas, including slot machines and surrounding areas, ash trays, trash cans, restrooms, windows, countertops, furniture, and decorative objects. Duties also include vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping tile floors, cleaning spills and biohazardous materials, and removing trash to dumpsters. The role requires familiarity with the proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment and consistently providing warm, energetic guest service. The cleaner represents the company positively and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
• Be physically mobile, with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs., and to reach, bend, twist, stoop, and stack.
• Stand and walk for the entire shift and maneuver up and down stairs and throughout all areas of the property.
• Uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
• Possess coordination and dexterity to work with hand and power equipment.
• Respond to visual and aural cues.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, areas between machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, countertops, furniture, and decorative objects in casino, hotel, office, and common areas.
• Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop tile floors.
• Clean spills and biohazardous materials when they occur.
• Remove trash from containers and place it in dumpsters.
• Use chemicals and cleaning equipment properly.
• Provide great guest service by smiling, greeting guests, offering a warm farewell, checking for satisfaction, and maintaining an upbeat, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Present oneself as a credit to the company and encourage others to do the same.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
