About The Position

The EVS Cleaner maintains cleanliness throughout the casino, hotel, offices, restaurants, restrooms, and other common areas. The role includes cleaning with chemicals and equipment, handling trash and spills, and providing friendly, energetic guest service. The employee must work effectively with guests and team members, manage priorities in a demanding environment, and uphold the highest standards of integrity in a regulated business.

Requirements

• Effectively communicate with guests in English.
• Work well with others.
• Provide great customer service to guests and fellow team members, utilizing the OWN it behaviors.
• Meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
• Be physically mobile, with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs., and to reach, bend, twist, stoop, and stack.
• Stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Maneuver up and down stairs and throughout all areas of the property.
• Uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
• Possess the coordination and dexterity to work with hand and power equipment.
• Respond to visual and aural cues.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, areas between machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, countertops, furniture, and decorative objects in casino, hotel, office, and common areas.
• Vacuum carpets; sweep and mop tile floors; clean spills.
• Clean biohazardous materials when they occur.
• Remove trash from containers and place it in dumpsters.
• Use chemicals and cleaning equipment properly.
• Provide great guest service by smiling, greeting guests, offering a warm farewell, checking for satisfaction, and maintaining an upbeat, energetic, enthusiastic attitude.
• Present oneself as a credit to the company and encourage others to do the same.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
