About The Position

Harrah’s Resort Southern California is hiring full-time housekeeping staff for Guest Room Attendant and Houseperson roles. Guest Room Attendants clean, sanitize, and prepare guest rooms to departmental standards so rooms are comfortable, safe, and ready for guests. Housepersons support the housekeeping department by maintaining guest-room floors, public areas, and storage closets, delivering supplies, removing trash, and responding to operational requests. The employer gives preference to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.

Requirements

Ability to communicate professionally using radios and an iPhone.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Reliable, energetic, service-focused, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to push, pull and lift up to 100 pounds.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching throughout the shift; ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours.
Ability to maneuver through crowded casino areas and climb stairs as needed.
Ability to tolerate cleaning chemicals and read and follow instructions on chemical labels and cleaning equipment.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English is preferred.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays and variable shifts based on business needs; overtime or additional hours may be required.
Ability to work in environments that may include secondary smoke, temperatures above 85°F and temperatures as low as 60°F.
Continuous use of hands, finger movement and wrist motion while cleaning.

Nice To Haves

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English is preferred.
Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.

Responsibilities

Clean and service guest rooms, including vacuuming, dusting, wiping and polishing surfaces; cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, showers and toilets; changing linens, making beds and replenishing amenities; and removing trash.
Ensure assigned rooms meet cleanliness and inspection standards before guest entry.
Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests.
Make rollaway beds and deliver additional items as requested.
Promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards and lost-and-found items.
Complete deep-cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned.
Maintain housekeeping cards, supply closets and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
Update room status and receive assignments using departmental communication tools or mobile devices, if applicable.
Follow safety, sanitation and chemical-handling procedures and participate in required safety and training programs.
Maintain the cleanliness, safety and organization of guest-room floors, public areas and storage closets.
Deliver supplies, remove trash and respond to operational requests in support of Guest Room Attendants.
