About The Position

Team members in the Steward department clean and sanitize dishes, silverware, and kitchen equipment to help ensure outlets operate normally in a safe, sanitary environment. The role is fast-paced and involves working with water at different temperatures and cleaning chemicals, so proper safety practices are required throughout the shift. The position pays $20.00 per hour. Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.

Requirements

• Able to work any day of the week and any shift.
• Able to work well with coworkers as part of a team.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work inside and maneuver throughout kitchen areas.
• Able to tolerate temperatures above 115 degrees near the dish machine for an entire shift when assigned.
• Able to use chemicals in accordance with kitchen cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Able to stand and walk for 8 hours.
• Able to operate a dish machine.
• Able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to push carts, pull, reach, bend, stoop, and stack racks of dishes and silverware.
• Able to respond to visual and aural cues.

Responsibilities

• Replenish nonfood items as needed.
• Clean and stock plates, silverware, pots, pans, and other utensils.
• Clean food-serving areas, including counters, utensils, and food trays.
• Maintain sanitation levels in accordance with health department requirements and Stewarding standards across kitchen outlets.
• Clean and sanitize china and flatware.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment safely.
• Meet attendance guidelines and comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
• Communicate and coordinate with chefs, bussers, and servers.
• Follow instructions from the lead on duty.
