About The Position

The EVS Attendant performs housekeeping and environmental services duties, maintaining the quality and appearance of assigned areas, including storage areas and equipment. The role involves cleaning floors, restrooms, steps, stairwells, and other areas as directed; keeping restrooms and supply areas stocked; and moving trash to a dumpster. The attendant must use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly, follow department standards, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. The position requires working in varied casino conditions, including outdoor smoking areas.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
Working knowledge of chemicals and cleaning supplies, including proper techniques and safety procedures such as MSDS and OSHA.
Ability to use vacuum cleaners, mops, brooms, sweepers, dusters, and other cleaning equipment.
Ability to work in different casino areas under varying conditions of heat, cold, illumination, and air quality.
Ability to horizontally move items weighing at least 25 pounds.
Ability to work in an outdoor smoking area.
Ability to tolerate the presence and/or use of chemicals, cleansers, and solvents.

Responsibilities

Maintain the quality and appearance of assigned areas, including EVS storage areas and equipment.
Demonstrate safe and correct use of daily cleaning chemicals and proper operation of equipment, as assessed through routine inspections and semi-annual supervisor testing.
Use personal protective equipment appropriately, including glasses, gloves, and belts.
Attend OSHA and related safety training.
Use equipment according to department standards.
Clean and maintain assigned floors, restrooms, and other areas as directed by supervisory staff.
Keep restroom and supply areas fully stocked.
Clean steps and stairwells.
Operate advanced and commercial upright vacuum cleaners.
Move trash carts from work areas to the dumpster and unload them.
