About The Position

Specialisterne is recruiting for a Claims Client Services Representative position as part of a Neurodiversity Hiring Initiative in partnership with Co-operators. Co-operators is a leading Canadian financial services co-operative offering multi-line insurance and investment products. This role involves providing exceptional client service, responding to insureds' losses, determining the cause of loss, collecting claims details, setting up rentals or tows, and informing clients about next steps. The position also requires responding to client inquiries, counseling them on claim reporting options, identifying claim scenarios needing further investigation, and escalating as required. Additionally, the role involves offering feedback to leadership on process efficiencies to enhance the client experience. Employees hired through Specialisterne will receive support from a Specialisterne Workplace Support Specialist for their first twelve weeks on the job. This role operates in a contact centre environment requiring high concentration and involves communicating with and supporting emotional clients. Requirements

  • Must have experienced barriers getting and/or maintaining meaningful employment and identify with one of the following: Autism (including Asperger’s and PDD-NOS), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Learning Disability (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia), Intellectual Disability, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Tourette Syndrome.
  • High School Diploma
  • Sound knowledge of client service principles.
  • Obtained or are willing to work towards provincial adjuster licenses and/or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • Intermediate skill level with the Microsoft Suite of applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary diploma in Insurance.
  • Contact centre experience.
  • Basic understanding of claims concepts and practices for auto and property insurance coverage.
  • One year of customer service experience.
  • Experience working in a call center environment.
