About The Position

At Gallagher Bassett, this role helps clients navigate claims, support recovery, and achieve effective outcomes. The Claims Adjuster-Auto Subrogation position is a remote auto subrogation desk role handling claims in Michigan. The adjuster applies claims management experience to assess exposure, determine appropriate actions, and resolve claims while communicating with the parties involved and providing empathetic customer service to claimants on behalf of clients. Claims must be handled consistently with client and company policies, procedures, industry practices, and applicable statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements. The role also requires timely, efficient documentation and communication of claim activity.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 2 years of related claims experience, including experience handling auto subrogation claims.
Michigan jurisdictional experience.
Appropriate licensing or certification in the states where claims are handled, or the ability to obtain it according to local requirements.
Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Nice To Haves

An active adjuster license, preferably all-lines or auto adjuster.
Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

Analyze claims exposure, determine the appropriate course of action, and resolve claims.
Communicate with the various parties involved in the claim process to support effective resolution.
Provide empathetic customer service to claimants on behalf of clients throughout the claims process.

Document and communicate claim activity promptly and efficiently to support claim outcomes.
