About The Position

The Citrus Club Bartender is responsible for safely and sanitarily preparing beverage orders and maintaining the bar area and its supply of liquors, beers, wines, and other beverages. The role includes preparing drinks to customer requests and recipe specifications, verifying customers’ legal drinking age, calculating and collecting bar tabs, and tracking, opening, and securing beverage bottles. The bartender also sets up the bar and its furnishings and supplies, cleans glassware and utensils, stocks ice and glassware, replenishes bar supplies, and maintains a clean, safe environment while monitoring customer alcohol consumption. This role reports to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of beverage service experience.
Knowledge of beverage and cocktail recipes and specifications.
Knowledge of safe food and beverage handling procedures.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to bend and stand for extended periods.
Ability to operate hand tools and kitchen equipment.
Dependable work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Safely and sanitarily prepare beverage orders.
Maintain the bar area and supplies of liquors, beers, wines, and other beverages.
Prepare drinks according to customer requests and recipe specifications.
Check customer identification to verify legal age requirements.
Calculate and collect bar tabs.
Track, open, and secure bottles of liquor, beer, and wine.
Set up the bar unit, tables, chairs, and supplies.
Clean glassware and utensils.
Stock ice and glassware.
Maintain and replenish bar beverages and supplies.
Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, including monitoring customer alcohol consumption.
