About The Position

The Bartender/Spurs Club is responsible for setting up, maintaining the cleanliness of, and breaking down the assigned bar area. The role requires knowledge of recipes, accurate product ringing, and handling cash and credit card transactions. Bartenders provide members with a fun, friendly, and exciting experience while following Legends Hospitality and TABC standards for responsible alcohol service. Other duties may be assigned. The position requires excellent customer service and extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine, including preparation and service techniques. The bartender may also plan and develop menus and cocktails, work independently or as part of a team, and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Work takes place in an environment with usually moderate noise, and reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume bar.
Current T.A.B.C. certification.
Fluency in English.
Excellent customer service skills.
Extensive knowledge of classic and modern cocktail recipes and proficiency in creating and developing unique cocktails.
Understanding of cocktail balance and flavor profiles.
In-depth knowledge of spirits, including their production processes.
Knowledge of beer types, brewing processes, and proper serving techniques.
Knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and proper wine service.
Honesty, direct communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate and build positive relationships with people at all organizational levels.
Ability to respond effectively to changing trends and circumstances and adapt based on past experience.
Ability to manage people and resources, multitask, and maintain order.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to lift 30 pounds without aid.
Ability to stand for extended periods without aid and to stand or walk for varying lengths of time.
Availability to work an irregular schedule and extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
