About The Position
The Bartender is responsible for setting up, maintaining the cleanliness of, and breaking down the assigned bar area. The role requires knowledge of recipes, accurate ringing of products, and handling cash and credit card transactions. Bartenders provide a fun, friendly, and exciting experience for members while following Legends Hospitality and TABC standards for the proper service of alcohol. Additional duties may be assigned. The position requires strong customer service and knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, cocktail creation and flavor balance, spirits and their production, beer and brewing, and wine varieties, regions, and service. The Bartender must communicate effectively, build productive relationships, adapt to changing circumstances, manage tasks and resources, and work independently or as part of a team. Menu planning and development are also required.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume bar.
- Current T.A.B.C. certification.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Extensive knowledge of classic and modern cocktail recipes.
- Proficiency in creating and developing unique cocktails.
- Understanding of cocktail balance and flavor profiles.
- In-depth understanding of spirits, including whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, and tequila, and their production processes.
- Understanding of beer types, brewing processes, and proper serving techniques.
- Knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and proper wine service.
- Honesty, direct communication, and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and relate to people at all organizational levels.
- Ability to respond effectively to changing trends and circumstances, welcome new perspectives, and learn from mistakes.
- Ability to manage people and resources, complete projects, multitask, and maintain order.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds without aid.
- Ability to stand for an extended period without aid, and to stand or walk for varying lengths of time.
- Availability to work an irregular schedule and extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Bilingual in Spanish.
