About The Position

Westerfield Club in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is hiring a part-time Bartender. The role supports bar and food service in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused club environment. The Bartender stocks the bar, mixes and serves beverages, monitors inventory and supplies, processes guest checks and cash, and serves catered events and occasional meals. The position requires compliance with applicable liquor laws and management procedures, safe work practices, and communication with management about guest requests, concerns, and supply needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, and one year of bartending experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age to meet state age requirements for serving alcohol.
Knowledge of cocktail recipes and wine varieties.
Alcohol Awareness Training.

Responsibilities

Stock the bar and mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
Assist with cost control, inventory, and maintaining inventory records.
Monitor food and beverage products and communicate supply needs to management in a timely manner.
Comply with applicable state liquor laws and management-provided standard operating procedures.
Communicate guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.
Perform opening and closing duties, including inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
Account for checks and cash transactions.
Use the Point of Sales System.
Review banquet schedules, calendars of events, and special events for changes.
Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
Occasionally serve meals to guests.
Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
Perform other duties as required.
