About The Position

The Georgia Department of Human Services’ Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) seeks a Child Support Services Agent 2 to establish and enforce child support obligations for responsible parents and coordinate child support activities with legal, judicial, and public organizations. The position is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and reports to the Child Support Services Agent Supervisor. DCSS enhances children’s well-being by locating non-custodial parents; establishing paternity and support orders; enforcing and modifying support obligations; and collecting and distributing child support payments. The division also administers outreach programs, including Fatherhood, Prison Re-Entry, and Parental Accountability Court, to encourage non-custodial parental involvement. The role operates under general supervision and includes managing a caseload and communicating with clients and other constituents through telephone, email, correspondence, and direct contact.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and two years of direct job-related experience; or one year of experience as a Child Support Services Agent 1 (SST060) or equivalent position.
