About The Position

BrightPath Kids is seeking a full-time Associate Center Director for its Sugargrove, Illinois campus. The Associate Center Director works with the Center Director, teachers, and families to provide a safe, supportive environment for children in care, ages 6 weeks through 12 years. The role supports center operations, staff leadership, licensing compliance, budgeting, scheduling, and communication with children, parents, and staff. The Associate Center Director may substitute for the Center Director when they are absent.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Ability to function independently within the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of childcare or teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks through 12 years.
• Ensure staff members understand classroom objectives and expectations.
• Assist the Center Director with compliance with childcare licensing requirements and company policies.
• Understand, manage, and track expenses, revenue, and annual budget goals.
• Substitute as Center Director when the Center Director is absent.
• Serve as a resource and leader to personnel and help create and maintain a professional, motivating work environment.
• Review staffing needs, schedules, and classroom assignments.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with children, parents, and staff.
