About The Position

The Child Care Associate Center Director works with the Center Director, teachers, and families to provide a home-away-from-home environment for children in care, following NAEYC guidelines. The role supports the center’s daily operations, child safety, staff understanding of classroom objectives, licensing compliance, administrative work, and communication with parents and guardians. The Associate Center Director substitutes for the Center Director when they are absent.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with children and families.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of child care or teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Ensure staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Assist the Center Director with compliance with child care licensing requirements and company policies.
• Handle administrative duties within the center office.
• Substitute as Center Director when the Center Director is absent.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
