About The Position

The Associate Center Director works with the Center Director, teachers, and families to provide a home-away-from-home for children in care, ages 6 weeks to 12 years. The role supports children’s safety and supervision, staff effectiveness, licensing and company policy compliance, center budgeting, staffing, and communication. The Associate Center Director may substitute for the Center Director when they are absent and helps foster a professional, motivating work environment.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Ability to function independently within the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for childcare employment.

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of childcare or teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Ensure staff members understand the objectives and expectations for each classroom.
• Assist the Center Director with compliance with childcare licensing requirements and company policies.
• Understand, manage, and track expenses, revenue, and goals for annual budgeting.
• Substitute as Center Director when the Center Director is absent.
• Serve as a resource and leader to personnel and help maintain a professional, motivating work environment.
• Review staffing needs, scheduling, and classroom assignments.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with children, parents, and staff.
