About The Position

BrightPath Kids is seeking a full-time Child Care Associate Center Director for its West Hartford Park center. Working with the Center Director, teachers, and families, the Associate Center Director helps provide a safe, supportive environment for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. The role supports center operations, staff leadership, regulatory compliance, budgeting, scheduling, and communication with children, parents, and staff. The Associate Center Director substitutes for the Center Director when needed.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Demonstrated leadership qualities.
Ability to function independently using Microsoft Office products.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and remain organized.
Ability to work within regular operating hours.
Must meet state criteria for childcare employment.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of childcare or teaching experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
Ensure staff understand classroom objectives and expectations.
Assist the Center Director with compliance with childcare licensing requirements and company policies.
Understand, manage, and track expenses, revenue, and annual budget goals.
Substitute for the Center Director during their absence.
Serve as a resource and leader for personnel and help maintain a professional, motivating work environment.
Review staffing needs, schedules, and classroom assignments.
Establish and maintain effective communication with children, parents, and staff.
