About The Position

The Chief Engineer operates, troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces building-specific equipment. The role supports a contract for which VWI is bidding; any employment offer is contingent on the contract being awarded.

Requirements

• Five years within the past seven years directing equipment operations and maintenance in a supervisory capacity, with knowledge of major site equipment and system operation.
• Verifiable experience operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing building-specific equipment.
• At least two years within the past five years involving BAS, NCMMS, boilers, chillers over 300 tons, and equipment with comparable characteristics.
• EPA 608 Certification and A/C Refrigeration Operator Certification.
• At least one of the following certifications or equivalent experience: NAPE Air Conditioning III—Operations and Management; Advanced Boiler Operator; or IUOE stationary engineer, Class 2 minimum (Class 1 preferred).

Nice To Haves

• IUOE stationary engineer, Class 1 certification is preferred.
