About The Position
The Checker verifies incoming merchandise by item, SKU, quantity, and pack for accuracy. The role compares merchandise with the bill of lading, prepares it for storage in the distribution center, assigns license plates to pallets, and enters information into the Warehouse Management System (WMS). The Checker supports accurate receiving while consistently meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Requirements
- Communicate verbally and in writing with distribution center staff and the Reorder and Merchandising departments, and interpret written information.
- Have basic math and reading skills and be able to use a calculator.
- Analyze and research discrepancies.
- Use a computer, radio frequency unit, and Cubiscan equipment.
- Coordinate multiple tasks.
- Operate a pallet jack.

- Quality check or audit experience.
- Experience with warehouse management system applications.
Responsibilities
- Count and record cartons unloaded from trailers.
- Verify packing and product descriptions by opening one case per item.
- Create pallet license plates and complete delivery tickets.
- Scan UPCs and enter item data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Complete food inspection forms for applicable items.
- Maintain receiving accuracy within a 0.5% variance.
- May log daily production activity.
- Consistently meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
