About The Position

The Checker provides friendly, accurate, and efficient checkout service to customers, helping ensure they leave the market with a positive experience. The role also helps maintain a clean, appealing, and safe department; assists with bagging groceries and retrieving carts as needed; and supports co-workers through teamwork. Checkers follow safety, security, and sustainability policies and operate in accordance with the company’s Core Values and Brand. The position is part-time and requires schedule flexibility, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Cash-handling experience.
Provide outstanding customer service with a patient, level-headed, positive attitude, including under pressure.
Build relationships with a diverse group of people and take on new challenges.
Work hard and complete department tasks in a timely, accurate, and organized manner.
Communicate clearly, listen attentively, and make decisions with customer satisfaction in mind.
Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Be at least 18 years old.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds; excellent manual dexterity; ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions from the hand through the shoulder area.

Responsibilities
