Channel Solutions Engineer

PlayerZero•San Francisco, CA
•$200,000 - $250,000

About The Position

As a Channel Solutions Engineer, you will help channel partners use PlayerZero to deliver better outcomes for their clients. You will own the technical relationship with two to three global channel partners, building the capabilities their presales and delivery teams need to pursue, implement, and deliver with PlayerZero. The role focuses on helping partners become independent: leading discovery, demonstrations, and proofs of concept on early engagements, then coaching partner engineers to lead independently. You will also build certifications, reference architectures, and delivery playbooks to make partner success repeatable. The role combines hands-on technical work, coaching, and knowledge of services businesses, with the goal of connecting PlayerZero to client needs, supporting partner commitments, and improving engagement economics. PlayerZero is an AI platform that connects work across enterprise Support, Engineering, Product, QA, and SRE teams. Its Engineering World Model links codebases, tickets, production telemetry, and work-related conversations to connect software intent with production behavior. Its agents, called Players, use that context to take on work across the software lifecycle and learn from outcomes. Success means channel partners bring PlayerZero into relevant pursuits and independently lead discovery, evaluations, and implementations. Partner delivery teams achieve agreed client outcomes with support from a growing bench of certified engineers and reusable resources. Partner-led wins and go-lives become repeatable, while your involvement shifts toward complex challenges and new opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience as a sales engineer, solutions architect, or channel partner solutions architect, ideally in developer tools, DevOps, observability, security, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong technical fundamentals across cloud, application architecture, data flow, CI/CD, APIs, and security, with the ability to assess client environments and engage credibly with senior engineers.
  • Experience working inside or alongside a global consultancy, systems integrator, or business process outsourcing firm, with an understanding of how services businesses sell, staff, and deliver engagements.
  • A track record of developing other technical professionals through coaching, practice development, or technical enablement programs.
  • Ability to deliver live technical demonstrations, troubleshoot in the moment, and teach others to do the same.
  • Ability to connect technical capabilities to client outcomes and channel partner business value, and to work effectively with delivery and practice leadership.
  • Strong organization and follow-through across globally distributed teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical relationships with two to three global channel partners, working with their solutions engineering, delivery, and practice leaders to establish priorities and build their ability to sell and deliver PlayerZero.
  • Enable channel partner engineers by teaching technical discovery, live demonstrations using client code, proof-of-concept design, and objection handling; help partners assess client environments and incorporate PlayerZero into their solutions and delivery models.
  • Build and own channel partner certification, including practical standards for presales and delivery roles, assessments, and readiness certification for engineers to lead customer engagements independently.
  • Create reusable technical resources, including reference architectures, demo environments, playbooks, and delivery patterns for channel partners to use across clients.
  • Support joint pursuits and delivery by leading technical work on early engagements, transitioning ownership progressively to partner teams, and reviewing solution designs and delivery plans.
  • Resolve complex technical escalations and turn engagement lessons into guidance that channel partners can use independently.
  • Drive partner outcomes by working with channel partnerships on joint account plans, pursuit priorities, and programs recognizing partner engineers’ contributions; track technical readiness, certifications, partner-led wins, and go-lives.
  • Share channel partner and client feedback with Product, Field Engineering, and Marketing to improve the platform and supporting resources.
