About The Position

As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician at Parkridge Medical Center, you will help protect patient safety and support clinical care by ensuring instruments and supplies are clean, prepared, and ready for use. You will support surgical staff by processing instruments and trays, managing sterilization equipment and records, preparing procedure-specific sets and case carts, and maintaining inventory. You will also respond to urgent instrument and equipment requests during surgeries.

Requirements

• Hold a CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPT (Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician) certification.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays, ensuring they are sterile, complete, labeled, and ready for use.
• Manage sterilization equipment and maintain accurate records to support patient safety and infection prevention.
• Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules and procedure needs.
• Manage inventory and supplies in OR storage and specialty lockers, coordinating with the surgical team.
• Respond promptly to instrument requests during surgeries and help address urgent equipment needs.
