Certified Service Technician (Mechanic)
About The Position
Cavender Auto Country-Ford, part of Cavender Auto Family, is seeking an ASE Service Technician to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs in accordance with dealership standards and manufacturer specifications. The role includes diagnosing vehicle issues, communicating repair needs and time estimates to Service Advisors, maintaining accurate service records, and keeping the work area clean and safe. Requirements
- Previous experience as a service technician.
- Strong automotive background.
- Manufacturer ASE certifications.
- Successfully complete an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide estimates of the time required for additional repairs.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
