About The Position

Cavender Auto Country-Chevy, Buick, GMC, part of Cavender Auto Family, is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance and help provide a high-quality dealership experience. The role is intended for someone experienced in automotive diagnostics and repair, as well as recent technical school graduates. Incentives include sign-on bonuses with guaranteed hours ranging from $4,000 for apprentices to up to $15,000 for Master/Senior Master technicians. Recent technical school graduates from the last 24 months may receive $625 per month in tuition reimbursement for two years, up to $15,000 total. Up to $10,000 in relocation assistance is available.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Service Technician is required.
Strong automotive mechanical and diagnostic background.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to successfully complete a background check, motor vehicle record check, and pre-employment drug screening.

Manufacturer ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and maintenance according to dealership and manufacturer standards.
Diagnose vehicle concerns using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, and other vehicle systems.
Communicate repair recommendations and timelines with Service Advisors.
Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain accurate repair documentation and records.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
Support additional duties assigned by management.
