Service Technician/Mechanic
About The Position
Mercedes-Benz of Midland, Texas, part of Cavender Auto Family, is seeking Service Technicians/Mechanics to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs and provide excellent service. The role performs repair-order work to dealership standards, diagnoses and repairs automotive systems, communicates additional service needs to Service Advisors, completes warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications, and maintains accurate records and a clean, safe work area.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a service technician.
- Strong automotive background.
- Valid driver's license.
- Submit to and successfully complete an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturer ASE certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide estimates of the time required for additional repairs.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
