About The Position
Lexus of Lubbock, Texas, a Cavender Auto Family dealership, is seeking Service Technicians to join its growing team. The role supports the dealership’s commitment to building customer and teammate relationships through integrity, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional service. Technicians perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to dealership and manufacturer standards, diagnose automotive systems, communicate additional service needs to Service Advisors, and keep accurate repair records and a clean, safe work area.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a service technician.
- Strong automotive background.
- Valid driver's license.
- Successfully complete an MVR check, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturer ASE certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate with Service Advisors about additional service needs and provide estimates of the time needed for additional repairs.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
