About The Position
We are seeking a locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a surgical center. This position is for coverage needs on various dates throughout June, July, August, and September. The CRNA will provide anesthesia care to patients of all ages undergoing surgery, manage anesthetic plans, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergencies. This role requires collaboration with surgical teams and maintaining accurate medical records. The position is offered as an independent contractor (1099) role.
Requirements
- Active Nebraska licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program
- Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Nebraska
- National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)
- At least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management
- Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education
