Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Job
About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for an ongoing coverage need. This position is for a long-term permanent search, offering full-time coverage with 32-40 hours per week, consisting of 8 or 10-hour shifts. Availability on Mondays or Fridays every week is required. The CRNA will provide anesthesia care to patients of all ages undergoing surgery, encompassing preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management, and postoperative pain management. This role involves collaboration with surgeons and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, monitoring vital signs, adjusting anesthetic plans, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate medical records. The position utilizes the EPIC EMR system. Credentialing is expected to take 90-120 days.
Requirements
- Active Michigan licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
- Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program
- Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Michigan
- National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)
- At least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting

Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management
- Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education
