About The Position
This is a locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position requiring ongoing coverage for weekend OR expansion. The role involves providing inpatient anesthesia care in a Level I trauma center with 7 operating rooms on Saturdays and Sundays, including OB. The facility is a 621-bed hospital. The assignment is ongoing, starting as soon as credentialed, with 4 openings available. The practice setting is inpatient, and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is EPIC. Credentialing is expected to take 90 days.
Requirements
- Active Missouri licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program
- Active and unencunmbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Missouri
- National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)
- At least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management
- Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education
