About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for an ongoing coverage need at a Level I trauma center with an 877-bed facility. This position operates within an Anesthesia Care Team model and involves inpatient coverage. The role requires providing comprehensive anesthesia care to patients of all ages undergoing surgery, from preoperative assessment to postoperative pain management. The CRNA will collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare providers, monitor patient vital signs, adjust anesthetic plans, and respond to emergencies. Maintaining accurate medical records and staying current with advancements in anesthesia practice are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Active Michigan licensure
  • Board certification
  • AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program
  • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Michigan
  • National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management
  • Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed
  • Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education
