About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for an ongoing coverage need at a Level III trauma center. This is a full-time position within a medically supervised care team model, covering a variety of surgical cases including ENT, General Surgery, GI Endoscopy, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Healthy Peds, Robotic Procedures, Urology, and Vascular. The facility has 7 main ORs, 4 Surgical Center ORs, 2 GI rooms, 1 Bronchoscopy room, and 1 Cath Lab. The role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care, collaborating with surgical teams, monitoring patients, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate medical records. The position requires a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program, active Washington licensure, board certification, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with a preference for at least one year of experience.

Requirements

  • Active Washington licensure
  • Board certification
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program
  • Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Washington
  • National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)

Nice To Haves

  • While specific requirements may vary, most locum CRNA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management
  • Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed
  • Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records
  • Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education
