About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant plays an integral role in providing exceptional care and service to residents who need dedicated hands-on assistance. This part-time position is in the Nursing department at Maplewood at Danbury in Danbury, Connecticut, with a stated schedule of 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The posting also says Maplewood at Danbury is looking to hire full-time, part-time, and per diem CNAs for all shifts. Requirements

• Current Connecticut Nurse’s Aide Registration.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
• Be in good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with care needs, including bathing, dressing, continence care, dining, and mobility support.
• Engage residents through interaction and conversation, as well as programs and activities.
• Work with the nursing team to ensure residents’ care needs are met.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment and assist residents by maintaining resident rooms.
