About The Position

Maplewood Senior Living is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant for its Residential Services department in Bethel, Connecticut. The role is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends. The CNA supports residents with daily care, engages them in conversation and activities, collaborates with the nursing team, and helps maintain a clean and safe environment. The position requires current Connecticut Nurse’s Aide Registration, a passion for working with seniors, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut Nurse’s Aide Registration.
• Experience and passion working with seniors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
• Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including background, drug, and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with care needs, including bathing, dressing, continence care, dining, and mobility support.
• Engage residents through interaction and conversation, as well as programs and activities.
• Work with the nursing team to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
• Assist residents by maintaining resident rooms.
