About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides care and support to residents at Maplewood at Mayflower Nursing & Rehab Center in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts. The role includes helping residents with personal care and daily needs, supporting mobility and dining, engaging residents in conversation and activities, and collaborating with the nursing team to ensure care needs are met. The CNA also helps maintain clean, tidy, and safe work areas and resident rooms. The starting rate is $25, with shift differentials.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Nurse’s Aide Registration.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
• Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with care needs, including bathing, dressing, continence care, dining, and mobility support.
• Engage residents through interaction, conversation, programs, and activities.
• Work with the nursing team to ensure residents' care needs are met.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment and help maintain resident rooms.
