About The Position
Montezuma Specialty Care, a 41-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Montezuma, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a full-time weekend package working 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The role is part of a compassionate care team serving residents across Care Initiatives’ skilled nursing communities. The CNA supports residents’ daily living, health monitoring, companionship, and participation in activities while helping maintain a clean and safe environment. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and shift differential. Care Initiatives emphasizes resident-centered care, career development, and an inclusive and welcoming workplace.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship and foster a positive, engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that enhance residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
