About The Position

Maplewood Senior Living is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents in a safe, home-like senior living environment. The role involves assisting residents with their care needs, encouraging social engagement, and working with the nursing team to ensure residents receive appropriate care. The position is part-time, with a 7 AM to 3 PM schedule, in Norwalk, Connecticut.

Requirements

• Current Connecticut Nurse’s Aide Registration.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
• Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with care needs, including bathing, dressing, continence care, dining, and mobility support.
• Engage residents through interaction and conversation, as well as programs and activities.
• Work with the nursing team to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
• Assist residents by maintaining resident rooms.
